About the Mitsubishi Minicab
The Minicab was engineered by Mitsubishi through the U-series and used the 3G83 three-cylinder. From 2014 the nameplate moved to a rebadged Suzuki Carry (DS16T), so a 'Minicab' can be two entirely different vehicles depending on year. Mitsubishi also produced the MiEV electric version from 2011.
Generations
Chassis codes identify generation and, on most makers, drivetrain. Import eligibility depends on build date rather than generation, so a single code can straddle the boundary.

Reading the code
Attracts fewer bidders at auction than a Carry or Hijet of equal condition, which tends to show up in the hammer price.
